Our natural blinds and curtains fabric are suitable for most styles in the market. Our know how gained from working with these fabrics for many years has created many procedures which ensures that the blinds function as they should and will last you many years.

We take the time in selecting the fabric, and working all the natural characteristics of every piece into the blind, hence, every Mulga Shade blind is custom made by hand for your window.

We mainly create 4 broad styles of window coverings, and within each style, we will have many variations. The four styles are -

Roman Blind

Front View Side View Pulled Up

This is the most versatile and elegant style we make. It is also the most robust. Every single fabric we have can be made into a Roman blind. There are numerous variations and the table below shows the main few, but they can be made into any variations within the limitation of the fabric.

Roman Blind	R	Standard Roman Blind
With Privacy Backing	RP	A block out fabric is added to the back of the blind, so the blind will no longer be a sheer blind. This may be suitable for areas where privacy is important, eg bedroom.
Stitch and Rod	RS	The fabric is folded into round pockets in the back, this created a very distinct horizontal lines on the blind, it is a very popular style in many European countries.
With front valance	RV	A front valance with a drop of 150mm. This is a single piece blind with the valance already attached to the blind, there is no return on this style and suitable for reveal fit situations. You need to order a separate valance if returns are required. Please refer to our Valance section.
Framed Edge	RE	A wide fabric of approx 4 cm is added around the edge, it adds a level of elegance to the blind and demonstrated our dedication to craftsmanship.

Roller Blind

Roller blinds are a practical solutions to cover a windows without taking away the view. Because of the rolling mechanism of the fabric, many fabrics are not suitable for this style. Typically, fabric that are too thick or too uneven. Since most of our fabrics have a mind of their own, this style often will not roll straight, and require that the user to give it a tap or a tug as you are rolling it up to ensure it is straight. If this bothers you, then roller blinds may not be suitable for you.

With Valance		This is a separate piece You may have a Front Valance, or a box style Valance. Please refer to our Valance section.
Chrissie	EC	This is name after our client Chrissie. It is a roller blind with the roll down the bottom, being held by 2 hooks. The blind can only be manually rolled by hand and it’s opened position is fixed. It is a decorative blind suitable for windows where the positions of the blind is fixed all the time.

Panel Glide Blind

Panel glides are excellent for large opening, like a sliding door. You can decide on the width of each panel, however, most panel glides are between 500-900mm wide. You may have 1-9 panels. Panel tracks are sold separately.

Curtains

Curtain

Nothing beats the richness and sumptuousness of a curtain, however, we do also make a modern curtain where it is a minimal use of fabric compare to the traditional, a modern take to a traditional method.

Curtain	C	Standard Curtain. There are many pleat options to choose from. Please refer to the page devoted to curtains.
With Privacy	CP	A block out fabric is attached to the back of the curtain by hand very loosely, so that the fabrics can move independently, this is very different to many less expensive curtains where the block out fabric is attached to the curtain fabrics all over.
With Valance		This is a separate piece. You may have a Front Valance, or a box style Valance. Please refer to our Valance section.

Valance

A valance is decorative, it also may protect the blind as well as hiding the mechanism or track of a blind.

Name	Code	Description
Valance	V	This is the standard from valance, it covers the front only, and suitable for reveal fit only, as the ends can be seen.
With Projection	VP	This is a front valance with projections. This is typically used in a situation that is revel fit but still required a projection of a secure fixed point.
Box Style	VB	This is the box style valance, and as the name suggested, it is like box and the front and sides are covered. It is typically used in a face fix situation. Please note that in certain situations, the fabric is turned vertical as it has to wrap around the corner.

Double Systems

We apply double systems in situations where 2 requirements have to be met. The most common situations is a face blind that must look good, and sheer, so that it allows air and light into the room; Then a second blind where it provides total privacy when drawn down. In most purposes, the second blind will not be seen, it only functions to serve a practical purpose. Please find two variations and there are as many combinations as you can dream up-
